Description:
Heartwood has a wonderful tannish-brown color.  Due to the felling of fairly young trees (25-30 yrs. old) there is virtually unlimited sapwood and knots which limits the use of Plantation teak to outdoor furniture, flooring and paneling where a beautiful character is wanted.
Working Properties:
Severe blunting effect on cutter edges.  Carbide cutters are recommended.  Pre-drilling is necessary for both nails and screws.  Stains and takes a finish well
